Note that ALL landscape works between $7,500 to $500,000 are subject to requirements stipulated by the Home Building Contracts Act 1991. ALL landscapers carrying out works are expected to be familiar with the requirements of this Act, and all contracts sign should have the inclusion of Notice for Home Owners - Schedule 1, Home Building Cntracts Regulations Aug 2013. There are serious repercussions for landscapers that haven't followed the requirements of the Act. A workshop co-run by LIAWA and Building Commission for LIAWA members outlined the brief in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Due to staff changes at Building Commission, there hasn't been one organised in recent years. For those who missed those presentations and would like more information, please contact LIAWA or Building Commission.
